I will be exparimenting with fresh gill/chub/sucker heads as cutbait for flatheads this year. Numerous peopl recommend using 1 rod live 1 rod cut. Believe it or not some of the biggest flatheads are not caught on live fish. But they absolutely will hit either or depending on conditions | |

I heard that if you scale the fish too it will help with producing a better scent for the flats to find | |

The "Studney" brothers always have luck on dead fish. Justin's big one was caught on a dead shad!
